About The Texas Year of Manufacture Law
Texas, and certain other states, let antique and classic vehicle owners register or display their vehicles using license plates that were made in the same year as the vehicle (called "Year of Manufacture" or "YOM" plates).
However, the state doesn't sell previous-year plates for YOM use. You must obtain the plates elsewhere (from someone like us), then use them to register your vehicle with the state.
We offer original Texas license plates that are appropriate for Texas YOM vehicle registration. We also offer repainted license plates, and temporarily are offering some blemished repainted plates at reduced prices for use on "driver" cars.
All of our Year of Manufacture plates are authentic state-issues. We do not manufacture or reproduce license plates. Consequently, we do not have perfect plates in some years and do not have any plates at all from certain other years available for sale.
